Introduction to Web Development
1. What is Web Development?
Web Development is the process of building websites and web applications that run on the internet.
It includes:
- Designing the user interface
- Writing code
- Managing data
- Deploying and maintaining websites
In Simple Words: Web Development is creating websites or web apps that users can access using a browser on the internet.
2. Frontend vs Backend vs Database
- FRONTEND: What user sees and interacts with.
- BACKEND: Logic, processing, authentication, APIs, etc.
- DATABASE: Stores and manages data.
3. How a Website Works?
A web application works on a simple request-response cycle.
- CLIENT (Browser) sends a Request
- SERVER processes it and returns a Response (HTML, Data)
- DATABASE stores/retrieves information
4. Client -> Server -> Database Flow
- 1. User / Browser: User opens the website.
- 2. Internet: Request is sent over the internet.
- 3. Web Server: Server processes the request.
- 4. Database: Server fetches / saves data in the database.
- 5. Response: Server sends the response back to the browser.
