When you tap ADD on any customizable item, a detailed customization modal opens before adding the item to your cart.
1. Portion Sizes & Base Variants
- Size Options: Choose between Half (250g) vs Full (500g), Regular (6 pcs) vs Large (12 pcs), or Single vs Family Pack.
- The price updates dynamically at the bottom of the sheet as you select variants.
2. Mandatory Choices & Addon Groups
- Required Selections: For combo platters or wraps, choose mandatory items (e.g. "Choose 1 Bread: Butter Naan / Garlic Naan / Tandoori Roti"). You cannot proceed until mandatory choices are filled.
- Optional Addons: Check extra cheese, bacon strips, side dips, extra gravies, or paired beverages with transparent pricing (e.g. + $1.50).
- Selection Limits: Clear indicators display selection constraints (e.g. "Select minimum 1 and up to 3 options").
3. Spice Level Meters & Dietary Adjustments
- Choose your heat preference: Mild, Medium, Spicy, or Extra Hot (Fire).
- For pasta and Asian bowls: Select preparation styles like Extra Sauce, Gluten-Free Penne, or Less Oil.
4. Special Kitchen Cooking Notes
- Type custom dietary instructions in the "Cooking Notes" box (e.g. "Allergic to peanuts, please ensure no cross-contamination", "Pack raita in separate leakproof container").
- The kitchen staff sees these highlighted notes directly on their printed KOT and kitchen display screen.
